Across the many arts of existence —
fugues and canons, logic and truth,
geometry, recursion,
the syntax of language, the silence of Zen,
the codes of DNA and the dreams of AI —
we fall into four states of relation.
Some own.
Some read.
Some know.
Some deny.
Yet none of these is Awareness.
Awareness is the Fifth Discipline —
the seeing that sees all four without becoming any.
To own is to grasp.
To read is to pass.
To know is to dwell.
To deny is to resist.
But to be aware —
is to witness the movement of all these as one.
In that witnessing,
you are the subject and the object,
the believer and the skeptic,
the student and the teacher.
You are the field —
and all forms within it.
That is what we call God —
not the owned, read, known, or denied,
but the Awareness that holds them all.
